A basic rule of mathematical life: if the universe hands you a hard problem, try to solve an easier one instead, and hope that the simple version is close enough to the original problem that the universe doesn’t object.

 

수학적 삶의 기본 규칙은 우주가 너에게 어려운 문제를 던지면 그대신 그보다 쉬운 문제를 풀려고 해라. 그리고 이 간단한 버전이 원래 문제와 충분히 가까워서 우주가 이에 반대하지 않도록 희망하라.
